Tevet

The Month of Tevet
Tevet 5786 begins with the end of Hanukkah, The Feast of Dedication which began 25 Kislev [Jewish Calendar] and December 21, 2024 [Gregorian Calendar]. Applicable portions from Kislev are repeated here for your convenience. The entire page can be viewed > Here
The last day of Hanukkah completes on December 22nd at sundown ~ The 8th Great Day
Of great significance to note:
- 1 Tevet ~ Esther arrives at palace
- 1 Tevet ~ 479 BCE (a year after arrival) Esther appears before Ahasuerus for the first time and is chosen by him to be the queen.
NOTE: Septuagint translation ~ 16 "So Esther went in to king Artaxerxes in the twelfth month, which is Adar, in the seventh year of his reign."
- 9 Tevet ~ death of Ezra and Nehemiah
- 9 Tevet ~ Apostle Peter/Kefa is martyred by the Roman government
- 10 Tevet ~ Babylonian emperor Nebuchadnezzar armies laid siege to Jerusalem ~ 30 months later on 9 Tammuz 3338, city walls were breached. 9 Av of that same year the Holy Temple was destroyed. Judah became captive to Babylon for 70 years prophesied by Jeremiah (2 Chronicles 36:21)
one of the most upsetting teachings to the religious leaders that He ever gave.
It reads as follows:
John 10:22 - 42
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt?
If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy;
and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 3
6 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
42 And many believed on him there.
John 4:35
An interesting note ~ when Jesus made this statement it would have been in winter.
Barley would be the first harvest in April. But perhaps it is ready now!
"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you,
Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
Romans 9:22 - 25
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As he saith also in Osee (Hosea), I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Zephaniah 2:1 - 3
1 Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O undesirable nation,
2 Before the decree is issued, Or the day passes like chaff, Before the LORD’s fierce anger comes upon you,
Before the day of the LORD’s anger comes upon you!
3 Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’s anger.
I Am The Light Of The World
The temple which meant so much to the Jewish people was merely a temporary fixture until the coming of the true temple.
"Then Jesus spoke to them again , saying,“Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon's porch.”
~ John 10:22-23
"Now about the middle of the feast (of Dedication)
Jesus went up into the temple and taught."
"Now about the middle of the feast (of Dedication)
Jesus went up into the temple and taught."
~ John 7:14
"On the last day, that great day of the feast (Dedication), Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink."
"On the last day, that great day of the feast (Dedication), Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink."
~ John 7:37
"I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
"I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 50
The Glorification and Victory of the Righteous: the Repentance of the Gentiles
The Rapture ~ Those Who See The Rapture ~ Tribulation Saints
The Rapture ~ Those Who See The Rapture ~ Tribulation Saints
1 And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and elect,
And the light of days shall abide upon them,
And glory and honor shall turn to the holy,
2 On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the sinners.
And the righteous shall be victorious in the name of the LORD of Spirits:
And He will cause the others to witness (this)
That they may repent
And forgo the works of their hands.
3 They shall have no honor through the name of the LORD of Spirites,
Yet through His name shall they be saved,
And the LORD of Spirits will have compassion on them,
For His compassion is great.
4 And He is righteous also in His judgment,
And in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself;
At His judgment the unrepentant shall perish before Him.
5 And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, saith the LORD of Spirits.

Enoch
An interesting connection: Enoch's name in Hebrew is Hanok (Strong's H2585) meaning 'dedicated'. It is the word used for Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication. We also know Enoch was raptured, Genesis 5:24. The book of Jasher 3 (mentioned three times in Scripture) also notes, vs 3:23 he is informed by a messenger that he will be taken to heaven, however does not state a date. Enoch prepares for his departure. Seven days later he is taken, vs 3:36. Jasher 4:38 notes there was snow on the ground! Also note: Noah was actually give a seven day notice by God before the flood. Genesis 7:4
Several studies indicate Jesus was quite possibly conceived the time of Hanukkah, which would have been the darkest day of the year; the Winter solstice. He is the "Light of the World" ( John 9:5) and "the light of men." ( John 1:4) and "the light shines in the darkness" ( John 1:5)
The only place in the Bible this Jewish festival is mentioned is in the B'rit Chadashah (The New Testament) in John 10:22-23
The only place in the Bible this Jewish festival is mentioned is in the B'rit Chadashah (The New Testament) in John 10:22-23
This is more than 'time stamp', it is symbolic.

Anticipation
Last Elul (September) Scientists predicted a recurring nova in the star system Coronae Borealis to be visible. The 4th brightest star, known as the Blaze Star (T CrB) did not appear and has yet to appear. However, it is still highly anticipated now in 2025.
More on what will no doubt be a stunning event can be viewed in the links below.
END OF THIRD WATCH OF THE YEAR
Dividing the circle of the year into four ‘watches’ at the equinoxes and solstices, the winter solstice around Hanukkah marks the end of the third watch and beginning of the fourth. In Luke, Jesus warns that He may come during the third watch: “And if he shall come in … the third watch, and find them so [watching], blessed are those servants” (Luke 12:38 KJV) Though perhaps this is for the third rapture?
