The Difference Between Resurrection Day and Easter

The day the LORD Jesus Christ rose from the dead and came out of the tomb having paid for our sins on the cross and then conquering death is THE most important event in human history. He, God who took on flesh to pay for our sins made a way for mankind to be reconciled back to our perfect Creator to whom we have been separated for thousands of years because of sin. This is the work the LORD Jesus Christ came to do. His care of making a way to come is written of and prophesied in the Jewish writings, the Tanakh, which is the Christian Old Testament. It is testified of by those who knew Him and had encounters with Him that He indeed was the One of whom was in the Br'it Hadasha, the new covenant revealed to mankind also in the the Christian New Testament. Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

a new covenant. Not like the covenant that I formed with their forefathers on the day I took them by the hand

to take them out of the land of Egypt, that they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, says the Lord.

For this is the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord:

I will place My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts,

and I will be their God and they shall be My people.

Many churches celebrate this in honest worship of the great work the LORD had done for us. And again as with all things are those who would use it to misguide and reduce the magnitude which truly cannot be measure; however it is abused by people outside the church as well as inside. As with configuring the possible time of the LORD becoming incarnate in the flesh of mankind, where a study of 'The Chosen Day ~ December 25th' clearly indicates we throw out the Roman Catholic Churches ordained times; the same is true in configuring the days of the LORD's crucifixion, burial and resurrection. It is imperative when studying the Scriptures to use the Jewish calendar, not the Roman Gregorian misleadings. What it IS and what it is NOT.

Why Is This Important?

God of all creation wants us to know what is coming. He warns in advance. His word is filled with guidance for us because He loves us and does not want us to perish. He has specific times that are to be known and passed along from one generation to another. He ordained seven specific Feast of the LORD that not only commemorate what He has done, but prepare us to look forward to His completion of them in future events.

"Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come,

he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

Why should we bother with the Jewish calendar you might ask? Because God set it in motion and it is His time peace. And it is consistent unlike the calendars of the West. Certain things are going to happen on certain days and we need to be watching for them. The Julian (initiated January 1, 45 BC/BCE) which replaced the Roman Calendar was replaced by Gregorian Calendar (initiated 1582 by Pope Gregory VIII). It's purpose was to ". . . shortening the average year by 0.0075 days to stop the drift of the calendar with respect to the equinoxes. To deal with the 10 days' difference (between calendar and reality) that this drift had already reached, the date was advanced so that 4 October 1582 was followed by 15 October 1582." ~ Wikipedia-Gregorian Calendar And yet even in this Johannes Kepler found it to be incorrect.

To understand certain aspects of God's word is worth our time to learn certain aspect of the Hebrew and Jewish culture. It helps to clarify Scripture and gives us understanding of the methodical workings the LORD gave to keep mankind a working pace to continue from one generation to the next. Without His direction mankind quickly degrades and cultures succumb to evil. It comes to a point that it is indeed the mercy of God that He brings judgment to end the degradation and self-destruction that we fall into. His ways are good, just, wholesome and bountiful if we follow. When we do not the evil that ensues ends civilization. Clearly we can see it now.

Beyond the Sabbath Day (Shabbat, weekly observance) the Forth of the Ten Commandments give by the LORD to Moses on Mt. Sinai and separate from the other observances are the LORD's appointed Feasts specifically they are the mandated Feasts of the LORD. The words used can be translated as a 'dress rehearsal' for a later 'divine appointment' of which they would be fulfilled. They not only commemorate specific events that occurred during the Exodus they are also prophetic to be fulfilled by Messiah.

This gives a visual where we can clearly see how the LORD's three days and three nights coincide with the Jewish Calendar as well as The Feasts of the LORD. This helps to understand the additional 'sabbaths' and 'preparation days'. Jesus Christ was Jewish! He lived a Jewish life! He lived by the Jewish calendar!

Like Christmas we celebrate events that are not on the day they happened. If we were to go back to the time of Christ, we would find there is not focus on His birth. It is the work He has done for mankind that He came and for which we must also remain focused. Far too much worldliness enters into these contrived dates. Why do believers in Christ now fall under the rules of Catholicism which have no Biblical foundation. The ceremonies, laws and lording over the masses is nothing more than manipulation, misguiding non-Jews, and power seeking and worst of all, pagan god worshiping! It is an abomination to the our Father God in heaven and detestable to Jesus Christ.

The vain attempts of mankind to rewrite what has already been written by God only adds to confusion for the generations to come. God's word does not change. Why do we insist we can do things better? Until the LORD Jesus Christ returns to earth there will be those who want power, fame, money, and the freedom to crush anyone who comes against them, an arrogant pride and love of self. In what should be simple in continuing with the Jewish calendar culture countless generations have been thrown into confusion.

Note to reader: The manipulation of the mass population through the Catholic Church will be judged by the LORD Jesus Christ as will every purpose under heaven. It is this writers fervent belief that there are true seekers of God Almighty in every faith however Satan has blinded and mislead many. The LORD hears the cries of those who do not know Him, but know He is. They seek Him. Satan has lied since the beginning and multitudes have been lied to. The Catholic Church is not the only church which has misled, however it is the one most instrumental in lording over and manipulating through guilt the many who want to know Christ. It is this entity that facilitated the pagan Christmas and Easter.

1) Jesus did not fail at the cross! He was victorious! He went through the treachery pain, torture, died and rose again! This is NOT failure! This is His victory which He has freely given to us that we will never die eternally. He has PAID that price and set us free!

2) Jesus Christ did not take on the form of a little green Martian and pay for their sins. What blasphemy that the Pope would extend the sacrifice of our God to masquerading demons!

The schedule (below) for this year is indicative what the Catholic Church sets out for multitudes of Christians, be they Catholic or not. The dates clearly do not align with God's word as seen above on the Aish.com calendar. It helps to clarify why so many Christians are confused between what the LORD stated in Scripture (noted above the calendar) regarding "three days and three nights in the heart" of the earth and what is forced upon the culture by the Catholic Church. Sadly, Christian churches never made progress to correct this.

Lent: Celebrated by Roman Catholic Christians as well as some Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodists and Presbyterians. For the Catholic Church Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent which is 46 days before Easter Sunday. Lent, a 40-day season (sans Sundays) is marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration. According to Catholicism the 40-day period is to represent Christ’s time in the wilderness, where He fasted and where Satan tempted Him. The reasoning for Catholics is that Christians should do what their Master did. He did this just prior to being baptized and starting His earthly ministry. What does this have to do with the crucifixion? Nothing! There is no mandate in Scripture for believers to do this.

The Council of Laodicea in 360 AD/CE: made the edict for Lent to became a "Christian" celebration. However, in the fifth century Catholic Saint Abbot John Cassianus, a monk of Marseilles, openly stated regarding the primitive Church with the Church in his day, "It ought to be known that the observance of the forty days had no existence, so long as the perfection of that primitive Church remained inviolate."

According to historians, the celebration of Mardi Gras has its roots in the pagan Roman celebration of Lupercalia. This was a February holiday and it honored the Roman god of fertility. It involved feasting, drinking, and carnal behavior.

However, with the rise of the Church in ancient Rome, Christian teaching and morals took root, but there always remained a strong need to blend ancient Roman traditional practices with the growing Christian faith. The blending of tradition with new religious beliefs was a common practice in the ancient world and it helped people to transition away from paganism. Here again as with the celebration of Christmas we can can see how 'blending' paganism draws Christians away from a personal relationship with Christ true faith in Him.

Lenten season begins directly after the last day of carnival Mardi Gras, ("Shrove [Fat] Tuesday)" Essentially Mardi Gras celebration is held as an excuse to indulge in excess and debauchery (getting "fat") before becoming 'reverent' for the fast. Interestingly from the 1690s, French, literally "fat Tuesday," from mardi "Tuesday" (12c. in Old French, from Latin Martis diem "day of the planet Mars;" ~ etymonline.com

Then after all the debauchery on Tuesday supposedly all things are right on "Ash Wednesday," Catholics will have an ashen mark placed on their foreheads marking the beginning of the sacred fast as though this somehow make them holy.

Fasting and self-denial is part of the Christians faith. When we deny the fleshly desires of the world we focus more on the spiritual. This opens our spirit to hear from God more clearly. Now mind you there are also evil spirits roaming the earth. Be vigilant always not to open our lives to them. Drugs, alcohol, pornography, demon worship, these open spiritual doors for the evil to enter. Turing our lives over to Jesus Christ and allow His Holy Spirit come come live inside will bar the door to the evil from entering into us, however demons still harass us and our loved ones. We must be aware.

EASTER

"Easter" has several connotations attached to it. From the worship of pagan gods like Ishtar and Tammuz to differences in translation between Greek and German. Regardless as we stand here in 2024 let us consider even the Puritans who called it a pagan holiday. Surely they had a better understanding of what was coming across the Atlantic than we do today. Easter was now widely observed until after the Civil War era also in conjunction with the spread of Roman Catholicism. We see Christmas and Easter picking up steam in America in about the same time frame. Isn't that interesting? Truly be worked out of the Christian vocabulary and replaced with a clear reference to Resurrection Day. I note the word 'Day' as opposed to 'Sunday' due to the fact that the Jewish 'Day' begins at sunset indicating that the 'third' day the LORD rose could have been on Saturday evening.

REGARDING THE BUNNY AND THE EGGS

Would it not be wise to simply dismiss the 'Easter' traditions of bunnies and eggs in addition to a name that confuses many and simply call our rejoicing of the LORD Jesus Christ's resurrection as Resurrection Sunday? The trapping of half-truths are ensnaring our youth and continue to take the focus off of this magnificent blessing for mankind to coloring and hiding eggs that are fabled to come from a bunny. Like Christmas these 'traditions' are pagan and like Satan they detract from the seriousness of our worship to our creator. Destroy this incessant frivolity that blinds our focus on God Almighty.

The ridiculous absurdity of the following article leads me to believe that 'Easter' truly is related to Ishtar going back to the time of Nimrod. That Easter, much like Christmas were promulgated to coerce the Christians to fall in line with going through the motions of pagan worship unbeknownst to them.

BEWARE as the internet removes conservative websites and changes algorithms to direct the populous to specific 'information'. We are being cut out of historical facts. Those who are not able to give a reasonable argument for their position and wash over the points in question as though they are nothing to be concerned about, this requires additional scrutiny. What is being glossed over or passed off as insignificant?

Here is only one example as I researched the source of Easter. The deception to attempt to make it all palatable as though 'of course' we should do this while considering the LORD on the cross is grotesque in it's concept. There were other articles which chastised the reader if they thought it anything but playful spring frivolity. All the more reason to raise and eyebrow in question.

Rabbits are also prolific breeders, especially in the spring when they are most commonly seen interacting with one another. As a result of their fertility, rabbits have long been associated with spring and with new life. Even the Greeks pointed out this connection.

However, the Christian tradition of the Easter Bunny has distinctly Christian origins. The ancient Greeks thought rabbits could reproduce as virgins. Such a belief persisted until early medieval times when the rabbit became associated with the Virgin Mary, who we know became pregnant without knowing man. During the medieval period, rabbits began appearing in illuminated manuscripts and paintings where the Virgin Mary was depicted, serving as an allegorical illustration of her virginity. The Easter Bunny was first popularized as a symbol of the season by the German Protestants. It is likely they were the ones to invent the myth of the Easter Bunny for their children.

Even in earliest folklore, the Easter Bunny came as a judge, hiding decorated eggs for well-behaved children. The Easter Bunny followed German immigrants to the American colonies in the 18th century and the folklore spread across the United States. The notion that the Easter Bunny is a pagan symbol developed in the 19th century. In 1835, Jacob Grimm, the popular collector of fairy tales, suggested that the Easter Bunny came from primitive German pagan traditions. Once Grimm started the rumor, it began to spread, refined to suggest the Easter Bunny comes from the Saxon Goddess Eostre. However, there is no direct evidence of a pagan correlation. The first intimation of a connection arose from Jacob Grimm, and although he was a folklorist, he had no hard evidence other than his own speculation."

Red highlighting in this portion of the article is my notation of absurdities that are even difficult to read. And the lies continue so we will stop here. The truth is that the practices go back before the time of Jesus Christ. They have ties to Babylon and Nimrod. Like the cover up with the Christmas circus which is deceptive in all points particularly the date with the only truth being that Jesus Christ entered in to mankind and took on human flesh and was born of a virgin, born in a stable. Everything else is tied to paganism.

When we read the Old Testament we find our God correcting Israel time and again for going off and worshiping pagan gods. God would correct them through difficult times and they would return to Him. However, when the LORD blessed them and life got a little easy they turned again and again to the pagan gods of the people around them. The worship included homosexuality as well as human sacrifice, particularly the children. These hideous practices are an abomination to our God. It was then and it is now. When the LORD Jesus Christ came and taught, was crucified and rose from the dead, the people literally saw the work of God. Many tried to deny what He did and who He is, but the truth was plain and the world would never be the same. The early church was persecuted and scattered. They met in small groups, in caves, homes, wherever they could without being found out. Thousands were killed. Then along came the conception for those who practiced paganism to incorporate the LORD Jesus Christ into their culture. The created Catholic Church essentially hijacked the Christian faith to proliferate the pagan practices. Hence we suddenly find certain dates and activities that have nothing to do with the LORD's mandates and feast now coinciding with pagan gods. Coincidence? No. It was done on purpose to take advantage and have power over the believer. The lies continue to this day. Many, so very many are unaware. Paganism is everywhere. But that does not mean Satan wins. Read the Bible. Everyday he and all things evil are one day closer to The Lake of Fire. Everyday, one day closer.

And we who love the LORD Jesus Christ and are listening for His call for the Rapture

are one day closer to going HOME to be with Him forever, and ever and ever! Amen!
