Nissan or Aviv/Abib

The Month of Nissan or Abib/Aviv Month of Miracles
The Jewish calendar is based on the lunar (moon) cycle where as the Gregorian calendar is based on the solar (sun) cycles. Hence the days of each month between the two will vary year to years. A day on the Jewish calendar begins at sunset to twilight the following day. Following the pattern is very important to understanding the calendar. Visit hebrew4Christians.org

These He gave to mankind to not only mark points in time in where He has performed great feats on behalf of His children in the past, but the Feasts also point to events in the future. These help us to keep watch something we are commanded to do.

It is very interesting that at the time of Esther the conflict came the day before the Jewish Passover. Attacks of the enemy of the Jews at the time of Jewish celebrations can been seen historically as well as in our current times.
Over the course of years the recognition of Purim was moved to the previous month of Adar as that was the time of God overruling and making a way for the Jews to defend themselves and defeat the Amalakites. The book of Esther does not mention the name of the God of Israel, however, His work through the events cannot be denied.
