"Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;

and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;"

Genesis 1:14    ~

A quote from the Jewish Virtual Library states:

". . . a solar eclipse was a bad omen for the Gentiles, a lunar eclipse for the Jews,
since the Jews based their calendar on the moon, while the Gentiles based theirs on the sun (Suk.29a)."

The United States of America has an event on the near horizon, August 21, 2017 in which the nation will experience its personal solar eclipse.  No other nation is in line to share in this.

Given all that our nation has done in recent decades, though there is much good, there has also been much evil, and considering all the other signs in the heavens it is not difficult to believe this is a warning form the LORD.  This eclipse cuts from northwest to southeast.  Not since June 8, 1918 has our land experienced this. Prior to that it was July 29, 436. But what is more amazing is that seven years after the 2017 eclipse there is another crossing south/(mid)west to north/east on April 8, 2024
